The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai, Hon. Sebastian Obeng, has paid a heartfelt visit to the family of the late Hon. Joseph Appiah to express his condolences following the sudden and tragic passing of the respected political figure.

Hon. Joseph Appiah reportedly passed away at Greenshield Hospital in Sefwi Bekwai on Wednesday night. According to close sources, the late Appiah had personally ridden to the health facility seeking medical attention after complaining of ill health. While waiting for the results of laboratory tests, he unexpectedly collapsed and was pronounced dead at the emergency ward, leaving family, friends, and the entire constituency in shock.

During the visit to the bereaved family’s residence, Hon. Sebastian Obeng, who also represented the Member of Parliament, conveyed deep sympathies on behalf of the government and the people of Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai. He described the late Appiah as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to the constituency and the political landscape will not be forgotten.

The MCE took time to console the widow of the deceased, who is currently pregnant, offering words of encouragement and assuring her of the Assembly’s support during this difficult period. He emphasized the need for unity and support for the grieving family, especially considering the sudden nature of the loss.

Hon. Obeng further called on residents, party faithful, and well-wishers to keep the family in their prayers and provide the necessary emotional and moral support as they navigate this painful moment.
