W/N : Driver Arrested After Knocking Down Pedestrians At Bibiani 

An Unidentified woman in her 30s has been found dead in between Sefwi Dominebo Number 1 and 2 on Bibiani to Sefwi Bekwai Highways.

The Assemblyman for Sefwi Dominebo Electoral Area, Nana Akwasi Danso Mills,who confirmed the report, disclosed to Bibianinews.com that on December 11,2023 while he returned from his farm around 11:00am, one of his committee members came and informed him that an unidentified woman has been found dead so they went to the scene.

He added that he reported to the Bibiani district police, and they came for the deceased body.

According to him, he suspected that the woman died due to a speeding car knocked down because her legs were shredded and littered on the road.

The unfortunate incident attracted scores of people to the scene, including women and children, who shed uncontrollable tears for the dead person.

He added that as the people were mourning the dead person, some charged youth at the scene decided to find out the car and set it’s on fire, burning it into ashes and even beating the suspected driver but law and order had been restored after his checks revealed that the Suspected driver quickly reported himself to the Bibiani district police command when he himself saw that the woman died on the spot.

He said the body has been deposited at the Bibiani government hospital morgue for more investigations.

He used the opportunity to appeal for speed ramps to curb pedestrian knockdowns on Bibiani to Sefwi highway.
