NPP Council of Patrons Chairman Calls for Removal of Ghana Free Zones Authority CEO

Alhaji Ben Ali Seaman, Chairman of the Council of Patrons of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, has called for the immediate removal of the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) following a recent controversial public incident that has sparked widespread debate.

According to Alhaji Seaman, public office holders are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and integrity at all times. He noted that the actions of individuals occupying such sensitive positions must reflect the values and principles of the institutions they represent.

Speaking to journalists, the veteran politician expressed disappointment over the incident, describing it as unfortunate and damaging to the image of the Ghana Free Zones Authority as well as the government.

He stressed that leadership comes with responsibility and accountability, adding that any conduct capable of bringing the office into disrepute should not be tolerated.

Alhaji Seaman argued that decisive action must be taken to preserve public confidence in state institutions and to demonstrate the government's commitment to good governance and ethical leadership.

He further urged the appropriate authorities, including the Presidency, to thoroughly investigate the matter and take the necessary steps in the best interest of the nation.

The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai NPP stalwart emphasized that public servants must serve as role models, particularly to the younger generation, and should always conduct themselves in a manner that promotes respect for public institutions.

He reiterated that accountability is a cornerstone of democracy and essential for maintaining trust between government and the citizenry.

Alhaji Ben Ali Seaman therefore called on the government to act swiftly to address the issue and ensure that the integrity of public office is protected.

The incident has since generated significant public discussion, with many Ghanaians closely monitoring developments and awaiting an official response from the relevant authorities.
