“Galamsey fight”: “If it stops for only a month in my electoral area, people will even steal soup from kitchens” - GAAM prez

Western North Ghana Association of Assembly Members (GAAM) President and Assembly Member for Asawinso ‘A’ electoral area *Hon Frank Ackah Nelson* is advocating for regularisation of illegal mining activities instead of collapsing it completely.

According to him, when galamsey activity is terminated in his electoral area, people will even invade kitchens to steal soup.

Let’s put measures that will protect destruction of forest reserves, lands and water bodies and allow people to involve in it. By so doing, it will encourage them to refrain from indulging in robbery all in the name of unemployment.
