The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) is set to distribute 40,000 bags of fertilizer and agricultural drones to peasant farmers across the country on Tuesday, June 16, as part of efforts to boost food production and improve modern farming practices.

The initiative is aimed at supporting smallholder farmers with essential inputs to enhance crop yields and increase productivity. The introduction of drones is expected to assist farmers in the efficient application of fertilizers and pesticides, while promoting climate-smart agriculture.

According to the Ministry, the intervention forms part of government's broader strategy to strengthen the agricultural sector, ensure food security, and improve the livelihoods of farmers.

The distribution exercise is expected to benefit thousands of peasant farmers and contribute significantly to the country's agricultural development agenda.

Further details on the modalities and beneficiary districts are expected to be announced by the Ministry during the official launch on Tuesday.
