Akuapem South MP Congratulates Black Queens on Semi-Finals Achievement
Hon. Lawrencia Dziwornu, Member of Parliament for Akuapem South and a member of the Youth and Sports Committee, commended the Black Queens' remarkable achievement in Parliament. She expressed pride and joy in seeing the team progress to the semi-finals stage of the tournament.
Hon. Dziwornu highlighted the team's impressive performance, particularly their penalty shootout win against Algeria, where Cynthia Klonam made two crucial saves. She also noted that 20 members of the Black Queens have made significant contributions at the African stage.
The MP praised the team's outstanding performances, citing the "woman of the match" awards received by Grace Asantewaa, Shantel Boye-Hawker, and Jennifer Cudjoe in their respective matches. Hon. Dziwornu extended her congratulations to the Black Queens and expressed her hope that they might lift the trophy and bring it home.
