Bethlehem Assembly Member Donates Exercise Books to Nzema-Nkwanta M/A School

The Assembly Member for the Bethlehem Electoral Area in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, Mr. Samuel Abugeri, has donated exercise books to pupils and students of the Nzema-Nkwanta M/A Basic and Junior High School.

The gesture forms part of efforts by the Assembly Member to support education and improve teaching and learning in schools within the electoral area.

The donation is also expected to ease the financial burden on parents who struggle to provide basic educational materials for their children.

Teachers Urged to Be Punctual

Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Abugeri urged teachers to report to school on time and take their responsibilities seriously.

He encouraged teachers to serve as role models for their students, stressing the importance of punctuality and commitment to the development of young people.

According to him, teachers play a critical role in shaping the character and future of students, and their conduct can have a significant influence on the children they teach.

He therefore called on teachers to ensure that lessons begin on time and that students receive the necessary attention and guidance throughout the school day.

School Appeals for Toilet Facility

The Assistant Headmaster of Nzema-Nkwanta M/A Basic and JHS, Mr. Richard Gyamfi, expressed appreciation to Mr. Abugeri for the donation.

He said the exercise books would support pupils and students who may otherwise struggle to obtain the materials needed for their academic work.

Mr. Gyamfi, however, appealed to the public, philanthropists, organisations and other stakeholders to assist the school with a proper toilet facility.

He explained that the provision of a decent toilet facility would improve sanitation and create a safer and more conducive learning environment for the students.

Beneficiary Students Express Gratitude

Some beneficiary students also expressed their appreciation to the Assembly Member for the gesture.

They said the exercise books would help them to take notes, complete class exercises and improve their participation in lessons.

The students appealed to other individuals and organisations to emulate the Assembly Member's gesture by supporting the school with educational and other essential facilities.
