EDUCATION: Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai :  Stephen Alaata empowers education in Sefwi Wenchi Electoral Area with donation of dual desks

In a remarkable gesture aimed at improving quality education delivery, Mr Stephan Alaata, the Assembly member for Sefwi Wenchi Electoral Area in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region and his Unit committee members donated 25 dual desks to schools within the Electoral Area.

The donation which took place on Monday, October 21st ,2024 is seen as a vital step in enhancing smooth teaching and learning. Sefwi Wenchi and Aboduabo M/A Junior High Schools were the beneficial schools.

At a short ceremony to present the desks to the Schools, Mr Stephen Alaata noted that he and his unit committee members have always supported schools in the Area to bridge the furniture gaps in schools

“We will continue to supply furniture to schools to ensure our children are comfortable in their classrooms,” the Assembly man stressed.

Mr Stephen Alaata seized the opportunity to highlight on key interventions he and his Unit committee members has provided in the education sector stressing that quality education was the most integral component of development in any society, pledging to put a premium on quality education delivery in the area.

In the future, the Assembly man once again vowed to continue working tirelessly and allocate additional resources to enhance the quality of education in schools in the Area.

Receiving the desks on behalf of the schools, the headmaster of Sefwi Wenchi M/A Junior High School, Mr Eric Kwamé Adinkra, commended the Assembly man and his committee members for their kind gesture.

He said the desks will go a long way to address the furniture challenges confronting schools in the Electoral Area, which are hampering effective teaching and learning.

Mr. Adinkra assured that he will liaise with heads of the beneficiary schools to ensure that the furniture’s are properly maintained.
