The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Chief Executives (MCE) Mr Paul Andoh has commended the government for its commitment towards prioritising the welfare of citizens.

At a brief ceremony to welcome the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly’s part of its share of the set of road equipment under the government’s District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) at the Assembly’s premises in Bibiani Monday August 26th, he said the significant milestone that will improve the road infrastructure within the Municipality, improve the lives of its people and provide employment opportunities for individuals.

He expressed his gratitude to the government for the gesture and said it would go a long way to help improve roads in the area.

He said, “Some of our roads have been in deplorable conditions for some time, hindering access to markets, schools, healthcare facilities and other essential services, especially in our rural areas.”

The MCE pointed out the equipment, including motor graders, backhoes, tipper trucks, and water bowsers, empowering the Assembly to maintain and improve the road network within their respective jurisdictions.

He stated that the Assembly will ensure efficient utilization of the machines, as the success relies on collective commitment, proper planning, diligent maintenance, and accountability in their use.

He emphasized the significance of the equipment in improving the road network within the Municipality, as well as its potential to generate employment opportunities for various individuals. He urged the electorates to support and maintain the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in power to sustain its positive initiatives.

The Municipal Engineer, Mr Elvis Yeboah, on his part chip in by stating that the Assembly will engage with the communities to understand the needs and prioritize road projects with the greatest impact.
