C/R : Subin Hill Assemblyman urges parents to invest in their wards’ education
Authorities have urged parents in and around the Subin Hill Electoral Area in the Upper Denkyra West District in the Central Region to invest in a better future for their children by providing them with sound education.
The Assemblyman for the Subin Hill Electoral Area, Mr Issaka Mumuni, known as chairman BUFA, gave the advice during the 67th Independent Day celebration parade at Subin.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman BUFA said education is the best legacy and inheritance we can give to our children. It should be a joint effort of the society to educate our children. Quality and excellent education enhance the overall development of a child and the nation.
“Parents and guardians should pay adequate attention and monitoring to their wards. They should visit the schools of their children, there should be much collaboration between teachers and parents for feedback on children’s performance, and on another hand, the government should provide the needed infrastructure including teaching and learning materials as well as provide the best working conditions so that all of us as a whole will give the leaders of tomorrow the best legacy,” he added.
The Assemblyman also urged the pupils in the area to shun negative vices and take their education serious for as he noted, it is the only way by which they could excel to the highest level.
Chairman BUFA emphasized to the pupils that their education is the key to driving their life towards the greatest achievement. By taking everything their teachers teach them, respecting and obeying their instructions, he encouraged them to write their own history, emphasizing that this is the best way to achieve it.
He emphasized that authorities will not forgive any students caught moving around at 9:00 pm without any tangible reasons.
Additionally, he praised the school management for their dedicated efforts in upholding discipline and a high level of teaching, promising to advocate for necessary development in the area through assembly lobbying to ensure long-lasting promotion of quality education.
