The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal branch has recorded 15 incidents with 3 deaths in the first quarter of 2025.

In an exclusive interview with Hamza Mohammed, Municipal Fire Commander D.O 3 Enock Tetteh explained that out of the total number of 15 incidents, January saw 4 incidents with 2 deaths, February had 2 incidents, and March recorded 6 incidents with 1 death.

The Municipal Fire Commander, Mr. Enock Tetteh, described the record as alarming, stating that domestic incidents topped the list with 4 cases, and 4 incidents were also related to bush fires.

He mentioned that the cost of damage was GH¢ 1,667,210.

Mr. Enock Tetteh advised the public not to overload electrical sockets, especially during the rainy season with high thunder. He also cautioned gas cylinder users to handle them properly and avoid placing stones on top of the cylinders.
