Big Aidoo and Lawyer Stephen Kingsley Bennie Deserve Recognition for Supporting NDC Branch Elections – Committee Chairman Calls for Unity
The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Branch Executive Elections Committee for the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, Mr. Adu Peter, has called on party members to remain united after the branch executive elections, emphasizing that unity is the key to strengthening the party and achieving victory in future elections.
Mr. Adu Peter made the appeal during the NDC Branch Executive Elections held at Abesinsuom in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency of the Western North Region.
He used the occasion to express profound appreciation to the Western North Regional Chairman of the NDC and Council of State Member, , popularly known as "Big Aidoo," and the Deputy Managing Director of , , for their generous financial contributions towards the successful organization of the constituency's branch executive elections.
According to Mr. Adu Peter, the Elections Committee encountered serious financial challenges while preparing for the elections. He explained that the committee approached several individuals and influential personalities within the constituency for support, but unfortunately, none responded positively to their appeal.
He said when the committee contacted Chairman Michael Aidoo, he immediately came to their aid by donating GH¢30,000 to support the organization of the elections. Lawyer Stephen Kingsley Bennie also made a generous donation of GH¢20,000 to assist with mobilization and other logistical arrangements necessary for the smooth conduct of the electoral process.
Mr. Adu Peter noted that without the timely interventions of the two leaders, organizing the branch executive elections would have been extremely difficult. He described their contributions as a demonstration of true leadership, commitment, and dedication to the growth of the National Democratic Congress.
He stressed that the financial support ensured the elections were conducted peacefully, fairly, and successfully, allowing party members across the constituency to elect their branch executives without major challenges.
Mr. Adu Peter further stated that Chairman Michael Aidoo and Lawyer Stephen Kingsley Bennie have consistently demonstrated their commitment to the development of the NDC and therefore deserve recognition and appreciation from party members for their sacrifices and continuous support.
Addressing party supporters, he urged both winners and unsuccessful candidates to put the elections behind them and work together in the interest of the party. He emphasized that internal elections should strengthen rather than divide the NDC.
He appealed to all members to avoid actions that could create disunity, misunderstandings, or bitterness, stressing that the ultimate goal is to build a stronger, more united, and vibrant party capable of winning future elections in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency.
Mr. Adu Peter expressed confidence that if party members remain united and continue to support one another, the NDC will become even stronger and better positioned to achieve greater electoral success. He concluded by thanking all branch executives, delegates, electoral officials, security personnel, and party supporters for contributing to the peaceful and successful conduct of the elections.
