Sefwi Anhwiaso M/A JHS Appeals for Urgent Support to Enhance Teaching and Learning
The Head Teacher of Sefwi Anhwiaso M/A Junior High School, Mr. Isaac Ackaah, has made a heartfelt appeal to government agencies, philanthropists, old students, and the general public to come to the aid of the school with essential furniture and infrastructure.
According to Mr. Ackaah, the school currently lacks basic teaching and learning resources such as teachers’ tables and chairs, which makes classroom management and effective lesson delivery extremely difficult. He stressed that teachers are sometimes forced to improvise due to the absence of proper furniture, a situation that affects productivity and the overall teaching environment.
He further highlighted a dire shortage of dual desks for students, noting that many pupils are compelled to share limited seating or sit on makeshift structures during lessons. This challenge, he said, negatively impacts concentration, comfort, and academic performance.
Some students of the school also joined the call, appealing to well-meaning individuals, organizations, NGOs, and corporate bodies to support them with ceiling fans and additional desks. They explained that the extreme heat in classrooms, coupled with insufficient desks, affects their ability to write neatly, learn effectively, and stay focused.
“We want to learn and become great in the future, but we need proper desks and fans to make our classroom comfortable. We believe with your help, our handwriting and performance will improve,” a student expressed.
Mr. Ackaah emphasized that Sefwi Anhwiaso M/A JHS is committed to providing quality education, but without the necessary resources, teachers and students are working under very challenging conditions.
The school is therefore appealing to all stakeholders—especially the Municipal Assembly, local leaders, NGOs, and benevolent individuals—to intervene and support the provision of dual desks, teachers’ furniture, ceiling fans, and other educational materials.
With the needed assistance, Sefwi Anhwiaso M/A JHS hopes to create a more conducive learning environment that will nurture academic excellence and brighter futures for its students.
