Bibiani Abesinsuom Kuro-Dada Residents Appeal for Social Amenities, Chief Calls for Urgent Road Construction
Residents of Kuro-Dada, a farming community at Abesinsuom in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, are appealing to the government and the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly to provide them with basic social amenities, with the construction of their road being their most pressing concern.
According to the residents, the poor state of the road has made transportation extremely difficult, especially during the rainy season. Farmers find it difficult to transport cocoa and food crops to the market, while commercial drivers often refuse to ply the road due to its deplorable condition.
Speaking to the media, the Chief of Kuro-Dada, Nana Kwabena Kyeche II, said the road has remained in a terrible state for years despite several appeals to the authorities. He noted that the community is one of the major farming areas in the municipality, yet the bad road continues to affect economic activities and the daily lives of residents.
Nana Kwabena Kyeche II appealed to the government and the Ministry of Roads and Highways to urgently rehabilitate the road to ease transportation, improve access to healthcare and education, and enhance the movement of agricultural produce to market.
He also called on the government and development partners to support the community with other basic social amenities, including potable water, improved educational infrastructure and healthcare facilities.
The chief expressed optimism that addressing these challenges would improve the living conditions of the people and accelerate the development of Kuro-Dada and its surrounding communities.
