Bibiani Trinity Academy conducts a clean-up exercise to mark 20th anniversary celebrations.

The Bibiani Trinity Acamdmy has embarked on a clean-up exercise at its premises and some selected communities within Bibiani as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.

The exercise was organised by the 20th Anniversary Planning Committee of the School.

The initiative aimed to underscore the School’s dedication to environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Mr Joseph Nicholas Deheer, the headmaster of the school, said it was also to inculcate the habit of cleaning one’s surroundings in the children to avoid preventable diseases such as malaria.

“when children clean the environment, it would send positive signals to other members of the society about the need to be health conscious and take appropriate measures such as cleaning their surroundings to stay healthy,” he said.

Armed with gloves, machetes, dustpans, waste bins and brooms, they worked diligently to remove litter and clear debris.

Mr Seth Assan, the Assembly member for Bibiani Compound electoral Area commended the school authorities for embarking on the clean-up exercise.

He said cleanliness was important as it gave rise to a healthy society. He, therefore, urged other schools within Bibiani to emulate the example of their fellow student at the Trinity Academy and endeavour to get involved in clean-up exercises, particularly on days reserved for the anniversary.
