Election 2024: NPP Performs Better Despite Global Economic Challenge - MCE
NPP Performs Better Despite Global Economic Challenge - MCE
The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr Paul Andoh has said the NPP has performed far better than the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC), despite the current global economic challenges facing the country.
He said before the ravaging impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war, Ghana’s economy was the toast of the world, as the country was hailed as among the fastest-growing economies.
“But COVID-19 disrupted the growth momentum of our economy and later the Russia-Ukraine War.
“As a result of these factors, Ghana’s economy, which was among the fastest-growing economies in the world, started to decelerate in 2020, and the government has committed everything in its toolkit to regenerate it.” the MCE said this during the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency Member of Parliament Hon Alfred Obeng Boateng campaign tour at Sefwi Kofikrom near Sefwi Bekwai.
Seeking a chance to break the “8”, Paul Andoh accounted for the ruling government stewardship, listing numerous projects and interventions in the areas of education, health, water and sanitation, women’s empowerment, and vocational skills development.
The MCE acknowledged existing challenges but insisted that the NPP government’s record is far better compared to the NDC.
He added that the NPP is ready to challenge the NDC to present their records in these sectors for comparison.
He therefore uses the opportunity to call on the gathering to come out in their numbers on December 7 and vote massively for the ruling government to continue the ongoing projects.
