Bibiani Degede inhabitants request for social amenities.

The chief and residents of Degede, a suburb of Bibiani in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region have appealed to the government to provide them with basic social amenities.

The resident, speaking to Bibianinews.com Hamza Mohammed during a communal labour, they complained about the absence of school, toilet facility and potable water. 

In addition to the call, Chief of Degede Nana Akwasi Affi II voiced his opinion, stating that the majority of the Municipal Assembly staff resides in Degede, yet there are still no social amenities in the area.

Touching on the access of getting water, the traditional authority expressed that residents depend on only the well which was constructed in the 1986.

He urged the government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and well-meaning individuals and organizations to intervene and provide a safer and more accessible water supply.

Some residents, expressing their frustration with the journalist, stated the well is the only means they could get access to potable water.

As per their perspective, they cannot comprehend why the area lags behind in education despite the rapid growth of digitalization and its impact on global economies.

They therefore pleaded with the government to come to their aid and provide them with potable water.
