The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Richard Boateng, has issued a heartfelt message to Junior High School (JHS) students taking the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He advised them to approach the exams with confidence and make the municipality proud. According to Mr. Boateng, confidence is key to unlocking their full potential and achieving academic success.
During a visit to examination centers, Mr. Boateng urged students to read questions carefully before answering and avoid any form of examination malpractice.
He reminded them that the consequences of malpractice can be severe, and it's essential to maintain the integrity of the examination process. By doing so, students can ensure that their results accurately reflect their knowledge and abilities.
The Municipal Director emphasized that the BECE is just the beginning of their educational journey. He reminded students that free education is available to all, contingent on their performance.
Mr. Boateng encouraged students to strive for excellence, as it will open doors to numerous opportunities in their future academic pursuits.
He also highlighted the seriousness of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in tackling examination malpractice. He assured students that WAEC has implemented various measures to detect and prevent malpractice, and those found guilty will face the consequences.
