Sefwi Fawokabra Community Donates Furniture to Local School
The Sefwi Fawokabra community has donated 20 dual desks and 6 teacher tables and chairs, worth over GHC 500.00, to Fawokabra M/A Basic School.
The donation aims to improve the learning environment and create a more comfortable space for students.
The Chief of Sefwi Fawokabra, Nana Kojo Gyane II, emphasized that the donation is part of a larger effort to address the shortage of furniture in schools.
He urged the school authorities to take good care of the chairs, expecting the donation to positively impact students' learning experience and academic performance.
The Assembly Member for Aboduabo electoral area, Mr. Stephen Alaata, facilitated the donation after the school's headmaster reached out for support.
He thanked the community members for their kindness and appealed to the government and NGOs to provide more teaching and learning materials.
The students are thrilled with the donation, saying it will ease the pressure of sitting on the floor during lessons and exams. "We thank the community members for this gesture," one student expressed.
The headmaster, Mr. Eric Nimako, and students have appealed to the government for further assistance, requesting repairs to classrooms and doors.
"We're very grateful to the community members... please, government, come to our aid," the headmaster urged.
