Rice and Cooking Oil Price Reduction Improving Lives – NDC Constituency Deputy Communications Officer

The Deputy Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency, Mr. Romanus Kojo Waaki, has stated that the recent reduction in the prices of rice and cooking oil has brought significant relief to many households.

According to him, the drop in the cost of these essential food items has made it easier for ordinary citizens to afford daily meals. He noted that the situation has improved to the point where he can now comfortably eat three square meals a day, something he attributes to the economic measures introduced by the NDC government.

Mr. Waaki explained that the reduction in food prices is a clear indication of the government’s commitment to easing the financial burden on Ghanaians. He said many families, especially those with low incomes, are now experiencing some relief as the cost of living begins to stabilize.

He added that food affordability is one of the most important indicators of economic well-being, stressing that when basic items such as rice and cooking oil become cheaper, it directly improves the quality of life for the average citizen.

Mr. Waaki therefore urged the public to continue supporting the government’s policies, expressing confidence that more positive changes would be seen in the coming months.

He concluded that the current development is a step in the right direction, as it restores hope to households that have struggled with high food prices in recent times.
