NDC Branch Communications Officer Urges Unity, Hard Work Ahead of 2028 General Elections
The Branch Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Bibiani Natwikumye, Mr. Appiah Kubi Francis, has called on party supporters and newly elected executives to remain united following the successful conclusion of the NDC Branch Executive Elections.
Speaking to the media after the peaceful conduct of the Bibiani Abesinsuom Branch Executive Elections in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency of the Western North Region, Mr. Appiah Kubi Francis described the elections as a significant step in strengthening the grassroots structures of the party.
He congratulated all candidates who emerged victorious and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by working diligently for the progress of the party.
According to him, winning a position within the party comes with enormous responsibility, and therefore newly elected branch executives should immediately begin mobilizing members, resolving challenges at the grassroots, and promoting the ideals of the NDC.
"Don't go home and sit down. The work begins now. You have been elected to serve the party and strengthen our structures at the branch level," he stated.
Mr. Appiah Kubi Francis also appealed to candidates who were unsuccessful in the elections not to be discouraged or allow the outcome to divide the party. He stressed that elections are part of every democratic process, where there are always winners and losers.
He encouraged those who lost the elections to remain committed to the party and support the newly elected executives, emphasizing that every member has a vital role to play in achieving the NDC's goals.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), now in opposition, is experiencing the challenges that come with being out of government, and this should motivate NDC members to remain focused and united.
He expressed confidence that if party members put aside their differences, work together, and intensify their grassroots mobilization efforts, the NDC would be well-positioned to secure victory in the 2028 general elections, both in the presidential and parliamentary contests.
Mr. Appiah Kubi Francis concluded by urging all supporters, branch executives, and party faithful across the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency and the country to maintain unity, discipline, and dedication, saying these qualities would be key to the party's success in future elections.
