The General Manager of Asante Gold Bibiani Limited, Mr. Samuel Kwesi Takyi, has reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting sanitation and environmental cleanliness in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.

He made the remarks during a collaborative sanitation exercise between Asante Gold Bibiani Limited and the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly, where the company provided heavy-duty equipment to assist in the desilting of choked gutters within the municipality.

According to Mr. Takyi, promoting a clean and healthy environment forms part of the company's corporate social responsibility and its commitment to the well-being of residents in Bibiani and its surrounding communities.

He explained that blocked drains and gutters contribute significantly to flooding, environmental pollution, and the outbreak of sanitation-related diseases, especially during the rainy season. He noted that the desilting exercise is aimed at ensuring the free flow of rainwater, reducing the risk of flooding, and creating a cleaner and safer environment for residents.

Mr. Takyi stressed that Asante Gold Bibiani Limited will continue to partner with the Municipal Assembly and other stakeholders on initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and improve the quality of life of people in the municipality.
