Western North Region Health directorate has reported confirmed Mpox cases

According to the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Health Directorate. The Directorate organized a stakeholders' meeting to discuss the issue. Mr. Edmond Mensah Fosu, the Disease Control Officer, stated that the municipality has three suspected cases, with one confirmed case.

The Health Directorate advised the public to practice frequent handwashing, maintain social distancing in public, thoroughly cook bush meat (especially rodents), and report any skin rashes to the nearest health center. The public was also encouraged to revisit the use of Veronica Buckets.
