WESTERN NORTH NEEDS MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENT - INHABITANTS TO GOV’T

Dwellers of Western North Region are calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to give them another ministerial appointment after expunging the Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation minister.

Speaking to Bibianinews.com, the erstwhile Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Presiding Member and Lecturer at KNUST, Professor Robert Aidoo informed that Hon Dr. Kwaku Afriyie was the only key minister the region had so eliminating him without giving us another ministerial appointment doesn’t seem fair to the region.

If there will be another reshuffle, government should look at that because a whole region like Western North we don’t have enough ministers in this government and it’s very worrying adding that we’ve to get a minister from Western North for us to know that the government has catered for us too.

That being said, he applauded Nana Addo for conducting a reshuffle. If not, he would have gone down in history as the only president who never effected a change in his eight years of governance, and it wouldn't be a record the NPP could be proud of themselves.

Although it's late, it's still okay because it will communicate to others that they can change or be relieved of their post at any point in time.

Prof Aidoo is optimistic that replacing Mr Kenneth Ofori Atta at the finance ministry will give good signals in the financial market.
