SOCIAL: Year Of Roads :  Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai MCE lauds DRIP project

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai in the Western North Region, Mr Paul Andoh has lauded the District Road Implementation Programme (DRIP).

The MCE is confident that the programme would assist in improving roads within farming communities in the Municipality.

Addressing the media after the Municipal portion of the DRIP was outdoor he emphasized that it would additionally assist in alleviating the suffering passengers and drivers go through in various communities that have bad roads.

President Akufo-Addo, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, launched the DRIP in Accra. The aim is to give all the 261 metropolitan, municipal and District Assemblies (MMDCE) each an earth-moving equipment to enable them to reshape their respective roads.

According to him, the project will create jobs, reduce transportation costs, and increase the Municipality competitiveness.

“There will be strict supervision—we will not simply distribute the equipment and sit back,” he assured.

The Municipal Acting Coordinator of DRIP Mr Kwabena Nkrumah In this regard, he praised President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia for this exceptional and forward-thinking leadership in implementing the DRIP project.
