Residents of Sefwi Dwinase Praise Assembly Member for Flood Control Measures

Residents of Sefwi Dwinase in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality of the Western North Region have expressed gratitude and appreciation to Hon. Evans Ackaah, Assembly Member for Sefwi Dwinase and Presiding Member of the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Assembly, also known as "Network".

 In an interview with the Osomafo Kwame Owusu Tik3se3 Bibianinews.com, the residents explained that the "Boliwa" river in the community often causes flooding during the rainy season, threatening their lives and homes.

According to them, the Assembly Member deployed technological tools and equipment to dredge the river, which was clogged, and as a result, they have not experienced flooding during this rainy season. The residents praised Hon. Ackaah for his efforts and urged him to be recognized for his achievements.

Reacting to this, Hon. Ackaah explained why he took these steps to prevent flooding and the measures he has put in place to prevent future flooding. He urged residents who had damaged plantations due to the work done to end flooding to forgive him, noting that it was not his intention but to prevent future disasters. He also urged residents to protect and keep the river clean to avoid future danger.
