Private Schools' Inclusion in Free SHS Policy a Breakthrough - Mr Jamil Otabil Otoo
Mr Jamil Otabil Otoo, the proprietor of Otoo Memorial Senior High School located in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region has expressed immense joy and satisfaction following the school's inclusion in the government's Free Senior High School (Free SHS) program. He described this development as a long-awaited breakthrough for the private sector.
According to Mr. Otoo, the inclusion of private schools in the Free SHS program marks a significant turning point for private institutions, which have long advocated for inclusion in the policy. He believes this move will not only increase student enrollment in private schools but also foster collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Speaking with Hamza Mohammed, Mr. Otoo is optimistic that the partnership between public and private sectors will promote shared responsibility in delivering high-quality education. He hopes that this collaboration will set a precedent for future educational policies, ultimately enriching the learning experience for all students in Ghana.
Mr. Otoo seized the opportunity to invite candidates who have taken part in this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to consider Otoo Memorial Senior High School for their senior high school education.
