Youth are reminded of the importance of staying away from illegal drugs for a brighter future
The chief of Sefwi Anyinabirem, Nana Kwasi Chebure II, has warned the youth in his community and Ghana at large about the dangers of using illegal drugs.
Speaking to Bibianinews.com's Osomafo, he emphasized the harmful effects of such substances and urged the youth to avoid them.
Nana Kwasi Chebure II also appealed to individuals, stakeholders, NGOs, and the government to support the community in completing a clinic that is currently under construction.
The queen of Sefwi Anyinabirem, Nana Afia Naa II, addressed the issue of teenage pregnancy in the community. She called on parents to support her initiative to educate girls about puberty and the risks of early sexual activity through traditional puberty rites (Bragoro).
Nana Afia Naa II also advised young ladies who have not undergone these rites to abstain from early sexual activities to prevent teenage pregnancy, which is considered a taboo in the community.
By promoting community-led initiatives and traditional practices, the people of Sefwi Anyinabirem are working together to address social issues and improve the well-being of their youth.
