BIBIANI, Western North Region — Nana Kwabena Gyekye II has been enstooled as the new Chief of Bibiani Abesinsuom, bringing an end to a four-year vacancy following the death of his predecessor, Nana Kofi Danso.

In his acceptance speech during the enstoolment ceremony, Nana Kwabena Gyekye II expressed gratitude to his family for selecting him to occupy the traditional stool. He also thanked the people of Abesinsuom for their support throughout the process.

The new chief assured residents of his accessibility, declaring that his doors would remain open to everyone in the community.

He further identified education as one of his key priorities, emphasising his commitment to promoting educational development in Abesinsuom.

Meanwhile, Nana Owusu Gyekye Kwagyan, Nkonwasoafohene of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area and Chief of Sefwi Domebo Number Two, advised the newly enstooled chief to prioritise unity among his family members and the wider community.

He stressed the importance of fostering peace, togetherness and cooperation as essential foundations for community development.

The enstoolment of Nana Kwabena Gyekye II is expected to usher in a new chapter in the traditional leadership of Bibiani Abesinsuom, with residents looking forward to initiatives that will promote education, unity and development.
