Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah, has underscored the critical role of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana in advancing the nation’s transport and logistics sector. He made these remarks at the Institute’s 60th Anniversary launch and fundraising ceremony held at the Accra City Hotel.
Mr. Debrah noted that airports, ports, warehouses, and road transport systems worldwide operate efficiently due to professional expertise. He stressed that CILT Ghana’s knowledge in logistics, supply chains, and transport is essential to achieving Ghana’s development agenda.
He explained that CILT professionals design systems to manage the flow of goods and services without delays, waste, or inefficiency. “Simply put, without CILT, the 24-hour economy cannot become a reality,” he stated.
Mr. Debrah challenged CILT Ghana to embrace this new chapter with renewed energy and capacity, leveraging modern tools, logistics technologies, and sustainable practices. He emphasized the need for strong partnerships with the government to modernize transport and supply chain infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
According to him, CILT must also provide thoughtful leadership on reducing inefficiencies and positioning Ghana for sustainable economic growth.
