Just Inn: No increment in transport fares–MCE warns drivers

The Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon.Paul Andoh has stated that the Municipal Assembly transport committee has approved none increment in transport fares.

Earlier today Bibianinews.com investigations revealed some drivers were within the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality
forced to increase transport fares.

Reacting to this, Hon. Paul Andoh, MCE said the Assembly transport committee has met none transport Union to deliberate on transport fares increment.

“I am not aware of any increment because that is not the criteria we used to increase fares,” he told Bibianinews.com

“There is not a collective agreement to increase transport fares, so those who have to increase their fares must desist from doing so.”

He further warned that any commercial entity that increases lorry fares without approval will face legal consequences.
