As Ghana joined the rest of the world to commemorate International Workers' Day, Nana Akwasi Ator-Ware II, Chief of Bassengele in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, has urged the youth to embrace honesty, dedication, and loyalty in their workplaces.

According to the chief, many businesses and employment opportunities have collapsed due to dishonesty, mismanagement, and unprofessional conduct on the part of some employees, particularly those entrusted with managerial responsibilities. He noted that while many investors and entrepreneurs establish businesses with the intention of creating jobs and improving livelihoods, such opportunities are often destroyed by acts of corruption and negligence.

Speaking to the media during the May Day celebrations, Nana Akwasi Ator-Ware II expressed concern over the increasing rate of unethical behavior in some workplaces. He stressed that the success and sustainability of any organization largely depend on the commitment and integrity of its workforce.

He therefore advised young people, especially those entering the job market, to remain sincere, disciplined, and faithful to their employers. According to him, hard work, honesty, and accountability are essential virtues that can help employees rise through the ranks and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The chief further cautioned workers against engaging in corrupt practices, theft, and other actions that could tarnish their reputations or negatively affect their organizations. He emphasized that integrity remains one of the most valuable assets any worker can possess.

Nana Akwasi Ator-Ware II also took the opportunity to commend all workers across the country for their immense contributions to national growth and development. He extended his warmest wishes to workers in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality, the Western North Region, and Ghana as a whole.

"As we celebrate May Day, I encourage all workers to continue giving their best in their various fields. Your hard work and sacrifices are the backbone of our nation's progress," he stated.

He wished all workers a happy and fruitful May Day celebration.
