FARMERS DAY: WE’VE PLANNED TO GIVE CASH PRIZE TO THE OVERALL WINNER BUT IF IT FAILS, WE’LL OFFER A VALUABLE ITEM - Mr Daniel Agyenim Boateng

The Bibiani-Anwhiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly has disclosed that their outfit has arranged to give cash prize to the overall best farmer at the municipal level of the farmers’ day celebration.

According to the Municipal Information Officer, Mr. Daniel Agyemim Boateng who spoke with Bibianinews.com’s AkuapemHann of Okyeame Radio, if they’re not able to offer cash prize this year as planned, they will do so next year as it is done at the national level.

This year’s is the 39th celebration which has been theme: Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience

The farmers’ day celebration comes off at Sefwi Domenibo number two, a community in the Bibiani-Anwhiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

He called on farmers to exhibit their farm crops at the program and can also auction it if they wish, as the market will boom asserting that food vendors will also make huge sales, therefore entreating all and sundry to be present and be fully involved.
