Old student’s hand over renovated classrooms to alma mater in Kuffour Camp

Old students of the Kuffour Camp D/A Basic School in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region have renovated the alma mater which cost them over GHc.10k

According to the Chairman of the Association, Mr Emmanuel Agyman Dua Boateng, the renovation was part of the commitment of the old students Association to help enhance quality teaching and learning in their alma mater and also to mark a 46th anniversary of leaving the school.

He said the school has made them whom they were, and that it was time for them to show their appreciation to the school, hence the renovation of the classroom block.

Mr Agyemang further said that members of the old students include medical doctors, nurses, lecturers, civil servants, traditional ruler, among other professionals.

He stressed that the resources expended were gathered among members of the set of old students’ Association.

Mr Agyemang pledged his group’s readiness to provide further assistance to the school. 

“We would try to contribute towards the development of our alma mater as we continue to work in our various organisations and institutions,” he promised.

He admonished teachers to be committed and alive to their responsibilities.

The Headmaster of Kuffour Camp D/A Basic School Mr Isaac Elisha Sarpong commended the old students for their tireless efforts towards development of the school.

He promised to work with his staff to ensure discipline and improve quality teaching and learning in the school.

On behalf of the Atwima Mponua District Chief Executive (DCE), the Prisiding Member Mr Justice Nkrumah also called on the old students to continue the kind gesture as they will always be ready to partner with them in executing initiatives such as this.

He advised the students to put their studies over and above any other thing and stick to their books.

He emphasised that the only way for students to get excellent results was through studies.
