Sefwi Chirano, Ghana – The Akyempimhema of the Sefwi Chirano Traditional Area, Nana Yaa Biamaah, has called on students—particularly young women—to take their education seriously and remain committed to achieving their full potential.

She made this appeal during the celebration of International Women’s Day held at Sefwi Chirano Community Day Senior High School. The event was organized by Fonda Impact Global under the theme “Confidence Cycle: Give, Gain and Grow.”

Addressing a gathering of students, teachers, and community members, Nana Yaa Biamaah emphasized the critical role education plays in shaping the future of young girls and the development of society. She urged female students to remain disciplined, avoid distractions, and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their studies.

“Education is the key to your success and independence,” she stated. “As young women, you must stay focused, work hard, and build the confidence needed to achieve your dreams.”

Call to Parents and Guardians

Beyond her message to students, the traditional leader called on parents and guardians to prioritize their children’s education. She stressed that investing in education is one of the most valuable and lasting contributions families can make toward securing a brighter future.

“Parents must take responsibility and support their children’s education,” she said. “When you invest in your child’s learning, you are investing in the future of the entire community.”

Promoting Confidence and Growth

The event, organized by Fonda Impact Global, focused on empowering young women through education, mentorship, and confidence-building initiatives. Activities included motivational speeches, interactive sessions, and discussions aimed at equipping students with the skills and mindset needed to excel both academically and socially.

The theme, “Confidence Cycle: Give, Gain and Grow,” resonated strongly throughout the program, encouraging participants to embrace continuous learning, share knowledge, and develop into confident and responsible leaders.

Inspiring the Next Generation

The International Women’s Day celebration served as a powerful platform to inspire and motivate students—especially girls—to believe in their abilities and strive for excellence. Many participants expressed appreciation for the guidance and pledged to remain focused on their studies and personal development.

Nana Yaa Biamaah’s message reinforced the importance of collaboration between families, schools, and community leaders in nurturing confident, educated, and responsible young individuals.

As the event concluded, stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to empowering the girl child and promoting education as a foundation for sustainable development within the Sefwi Chirano community.
