The Church of Pentecost, Sefwi Bekwai Area, has empowered several of its youth with start-up kits and cash support to enable them undertake apprenticeship training in various vocational fields, including dressmaking, baking, and hairdressing.
 
The presentation was made during the climax of the Area’s 2025 Christmas Convention, led by the Area Head, Pastor Stephen Bonzoe. 
 
Beneficiaries were drawn from various districts within the Sefwi Bekwai Area, while some master craftsmen and women (Masters/Madams) also received support to facilitate the training process.
 
Speaking to Bibianinews.com after the presentation, Pastor Bonzoe explained that the initiative forms part of the Church’s broader agenda to empower the youth economically and equip them with employable skills.
 
He emphasized that the gesture, if taken seriously, would significantly improve the future prospects of the beneficiaries.
 
He further encouraged the youth to fully embrace the opportunity, live disciplined lives, and remain committed to their training until completion, stressing that the success of the initiative largely depends on their dedication.
 
Also speaking at the event, Elder Nana Korrpa Dabie IV, the Pinankohene of the Suma Traditional Area in the Bono Region and the Area Deacon (Finance Officer) of the Church of Pentecost, Sefwi Bekwai Area, gave a detailed account of the items donated and their overall cost. 
 
He revealed that the Church is not only supporting vocational training but is also assisting some members engaged in black pepper farming.
According to him, the Area is prepared to extend support to other members interested in livestock farming and related ventures.
 
He therefore urged members to channel their interests through their respective District Pastors for the necessary assistance.
 
Some of the youth beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude to the Church of Pentecost, Sefwi Bekwai Area, for the support.They pledged to put the items to good use and remain committed to their apprenticeship training in order to build a better future.
