Solani Montessori CEO Urges Parents to Prioritize Children’s Education During EC-Supervised Prefect Elections

The Chief Executive Officer of Solani Group of Companies and proprietor of Solani Montessori School at Bibiani Estate–Ahodwo, Mr. Solomon Aniah, has appealed to parents and guardians to take a keen interest in the education of their children, describing it as the strongest foundation for their future success.

Mr. Aniah made this call during a special event at the school where officials from the Electoral Commission (EC) were invited to supervise the school’s prefectship elections. The initiative, according to him, was aimed at providing practical civic education to the pupils and instilling in them values of democracy, leadership, and responsibility.

He explained that involving the EC in the election process was a deliberate effort to teach pupils how national elections are conducted—right from voter registration, ballot casting, to vote counting. This, he noted, will prepare them to become responsible citizens who understand the importance of peaceful and credible elections.

“Parents must not leave the burden of education solely on teachers. Your involvement, encouragement, and guidance motivate children to take their studies seriously,” he emphasized. “Education is the key that opens doors to a brighter future, and it is through strong parental support that our children can excel.”

Mr. Aniah further encouraged parents to monitor their wards' academic performance, attend school meetings, and provide the necessary learning materials. He commended the EC officials for their participation and praised the teachers for their dedication to nurturing future leaders.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from pupils who contested various leadership positions, demonstrating confidence and an understanding of democratic practices. The exercise was widely applauded as a unique step toward shaping disciplined and informed future leaders.
