Bibiani Confident Ladies donate to HOMA Ghana orphanage home to launch and also climax its 2nd anniversary

Bibiani Confident Ladies on Thursday 29th August 2024 donated assorted items worth more than 10,000 Ghana Cedis to the HOMA Ghana Children’s Home at Lineso in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality in the Western North Region.

The donation, which officially launches as part of the association’s social responsibility, is also meant to climax its 2nd anniversary.

The donation included a variety of essential items such as bags of rice, Power-zone bleach, bags of water and gari, washing powder, biscuits, drinks, cooking oil, clothes, Indomie noodles, soaps, toilet rolls, baby diapers, eggs, yam and plantain to support them.

Presenting the items, Mrs Faustina Ntiamoah, the Founder and leader of the association, said the donation formed part of the association areas of focus and contribution to help the needy and put smiles on the faces of the less privileged in society.

The launching and anniversary of the program was on the “Championing Livelihood Security For The Poor And Vulnerable.”

As an association, donations like these further confirm our resolve to improve the livelihoods and living conditions of mankind and people in our immediate communities. The items donated today were contributions from the members of the association. This is what we stand for.”

She was optimistic that the items would be put to good use and expressed the authority’s desire to do the best it could to ensure the children were given adequate support and care.

She used the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to cultivate the habit of helping the less privileged in society.

Madam Margaret Opoku Asantewaah, the Organizer on her part added that having a safe space, benefitting from diverse experiences and backgrounds, gaining mentors & sponsors, doing something outside of your core role and networking opportunity are the core mandate of the association and It is an organization that is neither political nor religious.

As mothers, we feel children around here and everywhere should have some sort of parenthood. Some children in Bibiani are more privileged to have their parents catering for them, but these orphans don’t, so we decided to support them, she said.

She counselled the children not to see themselves as outcasts.other dignitaries who also attended the program was Mrs Marian Obeng the patron.

Other activities to mark the launching and the anniversary included a float through the principal streets of Bibiani, a cooking competition, Azonto dance competition,games and a special thanksgiving service.

Meanwhile, the Children’s mother of the HOMA Ghana Children’s Home, Mrs Elizabeth Boateng who received the items on behalf of the home, lauded the Bibiani Confident Ladies for their kind gesture, adding that the donation will go a long way to support the kids.

Mrs. Elizabeth Boateng called on other non-profit organizations, individuals, and groups to come to the aid of the orphanage as well, enabling them to render quality care and support for the children.
