Parents urged nurturing children’s passion
Parents have been urged to allow their wards to follow their passion, as it is the only way they can find fulfillment.
Nana Kwabena Obeng Barimaba Okofo II , the Chief of Sefwi Pataboso who doubles as Abakomahene of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area in an interview with Hamza Mohammed during Trinity TV EBA KIDS MUSICAL CONTEST AT BIBIANI ,Speaking on the significance of the event, the king said, “It would open up opportunities for the students to explore the global stage and enhance their skills and talents while leveraging technological advancements.”
While calling on parents to avoid mounting unnecessary pressure on the young lads, he admonished them to have personal time with their kids and keep a close watch on them to help them discover their areas of interest.
“You discover that most kids while growing up have interest in a particular career but end up with different career paths due to their parents’ influence and this is why they end up being miserable.
“Instead of imposing a career on your children, as parents, I urge you to monitor them closely and help them discover their talents, leveraging on their skills for career development.”
Expressing her satisfaction, one of the parents, said the programme will help the kids in finding directions and purpose in life rather than moving with multitudes.
“This is a very good development; the pupils are dressed in the regalia of the various professions they want to become in the nearest future. I urge all parents to support their children in making their dreams a reality.”
She expressed optimism that the program would help the pupils on the right career paths.
