Dr. Bawumia’s Western North Campaign Is Nothing But Waste Of Time And Deceit : NDC

The Vice President and Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia, was in the Western North on Friday, May 3, 2024, to campaign ahead of the December 7 elections.

This, according to the Western North NDC executives led by their regional communication officer, Sam Jerome, has come out to expose some of the major key points said by the veep in the region during his tour.

Sam Jerome hinted that , the Flag bearer of the NPP peddled falsehood about the 450 kilometers of road constructed in the Western North Region. According to the Veep, the Nana Addo-Bawumia’s administration has since 2017-2024 constructed 450 kilometers of road. This shameless lies of the vice president cannot go unnoticed. It is untrue the NPP has constructed such kilometers.

He added it is also important to state that veep’s promise of giving scholarships to persons with disabilities is nothing but a hoax. In fact, this idea was birth by the visionary leader, H. E John Dramani Mahama, which was spoken about in their 2020 manifesto and captured under 74, item 7,2,6 t and still being said. If Dr. Bawumia so cares for persons with disabilities, why then did his government abolish the toll booth system which provided sustainable jobs and has stolen from the NDC? The vice president again promised to establish new Islamic SHS for the people of Sefwi Wiawso after failing to honor the one region, one model Zongo SHS.

On cocoa, the veep made uninspiring promises because he lacks the basic understanding about the activities of cocoa farming. He expressed that the cost of cocoa farming has surged, resulting in reduced income levels for farmers as every input needed for the farm has increased, shortchanging cocoa farmers today.
