"Current Government Doesn't Deserve Credit for Cedi Stabilization" - Hon. Yawson Amoah
The former District Chief Executive for Akontonbra District in the Western North region, Hon. Yawson Amoah, has stated that the John Dramani Mahama-led NDC government, which resumed office on January 7, 2025, has not brought anything new to the country's development.
In an interview with Osomafo Kwame Owusu Tikese3 (K.O.T) on Liberty FM, Hon. Amoah explained that crediting the current government with the stabilization of the cedi against the dollar is unwarranted. According to him, the stabilization is largely due to the trade war rather than any efforts by the government.
Hon. Amoah also urged the government to expedite the implementation of developmental projects, particularly in the Western North region, where development has been slow since the government took office.
Despite his criticisms, Hon. Yawson Amoah pledged his support for government developmental projects in the Western North region.
