CRIME : Jealous husband allegedly butchers wife at Sefwi Wenchi

Yaw Takyi, a 55-year-old man, allegedly butchered his wife at Sefwi Wenchi near Sefwi Dominebo Number Two in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region. After accusing her of having affairs with another man, he has been arrested.

55-year-old Yaw Takyi accused his wife, Esther Takyi, 43- year-old of cheating on him by having affairs with another man in their community.

Information gathered from a residence by Yaw Ernest Gyenin showed that the man tried to lure his wife to the bush in the name of hunting, but she refused.

He added that the accused again informed his wife to accompany him to the farm for food staffs but she refused.

“While we were in the house I saw by husband shaping his cutlass,” one of my sons called me and while we were talking on the phone, my husband suspected I was talking to my boyfriend so he came and pushed me for the phone in the cause then the cutlass cat my forehead; that is what the woman told me; said by Yaw Ernest Gyenin.

According to him, he took the victim to the clinic in their community, but they referred her to the Bibiani government hospital. The suspect was, however, arrested a few hours later and handled over to the police for further investigations.
