BIBIANI : Adhere Strictly To Road Regulations - Drivers Cautioned Ahead Of Xmas

Rev.Ekow Wartembeg- Jackson, the Bibiani Trinity Assemblies of God Church head pastor, has cautioned drivers against speeding and overloading.

Speaking with Bibianinews.com after Mr Joseph Apala accident survival Thanksgiving Service, he appeals to all to obey the traffic laws and wear safety helmets while riding motorcycles.

“You must wear it whether it is a 200-metre or 300-metre ride because the traffic accident does not tell us how far we can go, meaning we could have an accident injuring our head in just two or three metres on the bike.” he added

He again advised motorists to always have assistant driver while travelling, especially commercial drivers who travel long distance daily, saying it will be of great importance in case of emergency.

He specially advised commercial drivers that are always on the road to be extra careful and respect traffic rules.

The former Bibiani Local Council of Churches Chairman, Rev.Ekow Jackson stressed that speed violations were one of the major causes of accidentals, explaining that there should be 30 metres distance in between vehicles on the road.

He asked drivers to take a minimum of 15 minutes after every four hours of driving to relax and energise themselves.He said that the move would prevent fatigue and accidents on the roads.

He also advised drivers to minimise conversation with passengers while driving.

“Any form of distraction can lead to an accident. A good driver, even while chatting, should not be distracted on the highway.
