The Queen mother of Nsuta Jodiako in the Ashanti Region, Nana Dinkyene Obroni Amabrado II has encouraged women to be brave and ambitious in their quest to achieve greater heights.

The Queen’s mother stated that there is no wrongdoing in women being ambitious.

“Do not let anyone or anything prevent you from being bold enough to aspire for greater things as a woman, because as long as you are alive, your dreams remain valid. Do not let the negative things you hear discourage you because nothing is impossible to achieve,” she said.

Nana Dinkyene gave the advice during the official launching and 2nd Anniversary of Bibiani Confident Ladies held at Bibiani.

She said it was very important for women to muster the courage of putting themselves up for higher positions despite the obstacles they might face.

This, she firmly believed, would pave the way for the younger generation of girls to understand that women can hold high positions and excel like their male counterparts.

“The more we see women take higher positions, the younger women are encouraged to work towards getting to such levels or beyond. Let us support each other as women, so that together we can create the world of female leaders we so much wish for,” she added.

Touching on the need to empower women economically, the Queen mother stated that an economically empowered woman is able to add value to her life and chase her dreams as compared to women living in poverty.

She commended women in high positions, urging them to maintain the good work while identifying and providing support to young girls who fearlessly work towards becoming leaders in any field they found themselves in.

She challenged women to eschew the habits of idleness and laziness to avoid poverty.

She said God had endowed women with exceptional creative abilities and skills. However, it behoves us to identify them and turn them into generating income.
