Ghanaian Urged to Cultivate Reading Habit to Identify Genuine Men of God
The Founder and Leader of Great God International Ministry, Bishop Dr. Isaac Boahen, has called on Ghanaians to develop a strong reading culture, emphasizing that reading not only broadens knowledge but also helps people distinguish genuine men of God from false prophets.
He made the remarks during the official launch of a book titled "Breaking Evil Altars In My Family", authored by Bishop Dr. Augustine Asante, Founder and Leader of Amazing Glory Church International.
Addressing participants at the event, Bishop Dr. Boahen noted that many misconceptions about Christianity and ministry stem from a lack of knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. According to him, reading relevant Christian literature and studying the Bible can help believers deepen their faith and make informed decisions regarding spiritual matters.
He stressed that becoming a prophet or minister of God is not a profession that should be pursued because of unemployment or financial challenges, but rather a divine calling from God.
"Many people enter ministry for the wrong reasons. The work of God is a calling and not an alternative source of employment. When people read and understand the scriptures, they can easily identify those who have genuinely been called by God and those who have not," he stated.
Bishop Dr. Boahen further encouraged the youth and the general public to embrace reading as a tool for personal development, spiritual growth, and national progress.
Speaking at the event, Bishop Dr. Augustine Asante, Founder and Leader of Amazing Glory Church International and author of the book, highlighted the importance of reading and continuous learning. He noted that books play a vital role in educating, inspiring, and transforming lives.
According to him, his book, Breaking Evil Altars In My Family, was written to provide spiritual guidance and help individuals overcome challenges that may hinder their progress and development.
He urged Christians and the general public to cultivate the habit of reading quality books, stressing that knowledge gained through reading contributes significantly to spiritual maturity and personal growth.
The book launch attracted church leaders, members of the Christian community, and invited guests who commended the author for contributing to Christian literature and promoting spiritual enlightenment through writing.
