CALL FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY FROM MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT

Concerns have been raised regarding the actions of the Honourable Member of Parliament, who is reportedly in Accra advocating for the removal of Lawyer Kingsley Bennie from his position as Deputy Managing Director of Ghana Post.

According to information available, this move is allegedly linked to his role in creating employment opportunities for young people. This development has sparked concern, especially at a time when the Bibiani Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency continues to grapple with significant economic challenges and rising youth unemployment.

In addition, questions have been raised over the allocation of World Cup tickets to Members of Parliament. Credible reports suggest that some of these tickets may have been sold and allegedly ended up in the hands of a prominent supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In light of these concerns, we respectfully call for full disclosure and transparency on these matters. The people of the constituency deserve clear answers and assurance that their interests remain the top priority.

We further urge the Honourable Member of Parliament to shift focus toward addressing the pressing needs of the constituency, particularly through the creation of sustainable job opportunities for the youth.

Finally, we invite the Honourable Member of Parliament to return to the constituency and publicly address these concerns to ensure accountability and rebuild public confidence.
