Bibiani Achievers Fun Club Advocates for Zero Tolerance of Child Neglect, Donates to HOMA Ghana Orphanage Home

The Bibiani Achievers Fun Club, a benevolent association with approximately 200 members both in Bibiani and abroad, has called on the government to initiate policies supporting the development of orphanage homes in Ghana.

This appeal was made during a visit to the HOMA Ghana Children's Home near Bibiani, where the club donated food items, water, learning materials, and soft drinks to support the well-being of the orphans.

The Chairman of the Fun Club, Mr. Francis Ackaah, condemned the act of child neglect and abandonment by some parents, emphasizing that it places a significant burden on orphanage homes."As a group, our vision is to support the vulnerable in society, like these children we see today," he said.

"We encourage women and couples to desist from neglecting their children, as these children could grow to become valuable assets to their families and the nation."

Mr. Ackaah appealed to the government, individuals, and Ghanaians abroad to join the club in its mission to support vulnerable children in orphanage homes. "We believe that together, we can make a difference in the lives of these children," he added.

The Deputy Women's Organizer of the Fun Club, Madam Florence Nkrumah, highlighted that child neglect or abandonment could contribute to social vices, making it a significant concern for the nation. "The name 'Achievers Fun Club' doesn't imply that we have everything or don't face financial constraints," she explained. "We believe in extending support to the least privileged and vulnerable in our society."

The Financial Officer of the Fun Club, Mr. Abraham Nsiah, expressed appreciation for the pivotal role orphanage homes play in nurturing and sustaining the lives of abandoned children. He appealed to the public to voluntarily extend support to these homes, acknowledging the challenges they face in caring for the children.

Pastor Emmanuel Boateng, Manager of HOMA Ghana Children's Home, expressed deep gratitude to the Bibiani Achievers Fun Club for their generous donation.

He encouraged other fun clubs to emulate the Achievers' example, highlighting the positive impact that such support can have on the lives of vulnerable children.
