Stylish Radio 102.1's dedicated team surprised onlookers in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region on Friday, November 10, 2023, as they took it upon themselves to clear the overgrown vegetation surrounding the neglected Bibiani Roundabout.

Manager Mr. Kwame Adu-Gyamfi explained that upon discovering the roundabout's unkempt state, he contacted the Municipal Assembly Information Department to inquire about the situation. To his dismay, he learned that the assembly lacked the necessary equipment to weed the area. Fearing the potential for it to become a breeding ground for reptiles, Mr. Adu-Gyamfi and his team decided to volunteer and tackle the task.

Highlighting the importance of environmental cleanliness as a collective responsibility, Mr. Adu-Gyamfi emphasized that as professional journalists, they felt compelled to contribute to maintaining a clean environment.

"The Roundabout has become an embarrassment to Bibiani town, a mining Municipality," he expressed concern.

Head of DJs, Mr. Johnson Arthur, also known as DJ Samzeto, shared his astonishment at the state of the roundabout, questioning whether it had become a public toilet facility. He raised concerns about the use of funds for banners or signposts, suggesting that permission from the Assembly should be a prerequisite.

News Editor Hamza Mohammed humbly appealed to the Municipal Assembly to grant him the contract for maintaining the Bibiani Roundabout, promising to ensure its consistent cleanliness.

Expressing frustration, he stated, "We are doomed as a town. Bibiani deserves better, being the gateway to the Western North Region."
